Lavandula angustifolia – generally a compact plant with a mass of thin stems and blunt-topped flowerheads. Lovely strong scent, prized for oil production for perfumery, pharmaceuticals and toiletries. Flowers from late June. Hardy in winter. Culinary herb use – it has a sweet, soft flavour for desserts and drinks.
Melissa Lilac - Lavandula angustifolia ‘Melissa Lilac’ is a gorgeous, lilac-flowered lavender, with fragrant, lilac flower spikes and silvery-grey leaves.
Ultimate height approx. 60cm, ultimate spread approx. 75cm. Time to ultimate height 2-5 years.
